This weekend, I submitted a few shots to a local gallery for a show based on the theme “Red.” Their description states that “Red is danger, fire, sex, love, speed, heat, anger, passion, arrogance, blood, revolution, war, wealth, purity, mourning, strength and so much more.” And of course, all of those things make me think of rock climbing! Perhaps my world view is a bit distorted after so many years of this sport?
About the shot: This is Mark climbing Introducing Meteor Dad (5.10d/6c) at the Buttonrock Reservoir near Lyons, Colorado. This area is a lovely spot to climb on sunny spring days, and I’m looking forward to heading out there again in a few weeks (hopefully)!
